New Features (9)

  • New Varieties: 110 drink varieties are now available in Candex.
  • New Logo: Candex has a new logo for the release of version 1.0.
  • New Color Palette: The entire app has been updated with a new color palette.
  • Easier Can Unlocking: Unlock new cans more easily with a button on the bottom left of the screen instead of using the action menu on the can details page.
  • New Homepage: A new homepage with fresh content replaces the profile page. The profile page now replaces the settings page, which is still accessible through the profile page's action menu.
  • Fancy Animations: Cool animations now play when you unlock a can.
  • Drink Number Badge: Drink cards now display a badge showing the drink number for easier identification.
  • Version Field: A field displaying the app version has been added to the settings page.
  • Terms of Use and Privacy Policy: Now accessible through the app, you also need to accept them when creating an account on Candex.


Improvements (6)

  • Performance Boost: The app's performance has been improved with Angular features and code optimizations.
  • Better Drink Recognition: Some energy drinks are now correctly recognized as "Energizing drink" instead of just a drink with caffeine.
  • Easier Navigation: The section on the login page to redirect to the register page (and vice versa) is now easier to click.
  • Avatar Storage: Improved avatar storage capabilities, allowing users to upload larger photos. The process now uses a third-party service more powerful than Firebase.
  • Account Security: Registration now requires users to create complex passwords for enhanced security.
  • Legal Compliance: Added legal mentions and copyright information to the application.


Bug Fixes (9)

  • Action Menu: Fixed an issue where the action menu on the can details page would open multiple times.
  • Icon Consistency: Fixed the three dots icon on the can details page action menu to match other icons in the app.
  • Dark Mode: Fixed an issue where dark mode was not working on devices that default to light mode.
  • Language Option: Fixed an issue where the language option would not show the selected language before any user input.
  • Phone Number: Fixed a bug where users who didn't provide a phone number were getting a null error in the database.
  • Username Spaces: Fixed a bug where usernames composed only of spaces were created when the display name had spaces.
  • Translation: Translation messages are now correctly translated to French when the app is set to French.
  • Toaster Message: Removed the toaster message that showed "disconnected successfully" when an account was deleted.
  • Badge Font Color: Fixed the can number font color to be more visible on the badge.
